Getting the Perfect Shave

Ok Gents, new razor in use and I cannot believe the shave I’m getting. Probably one of the best shave, NO!, the BEST shave I have ever achieved. The razor burn, the irritation, the embarrassing “red neck” is all gone. With the right pre-treatment, shaving cream, and aftershave, you too can achieve shaving perfection. I know, your thinking you are getting that perfect shave or have no issues. I thought that too when I switched razors and gels, but this time……it’s different.

I want to outline a few simple steps to help you achieve the perfect shave. Even if you think you have that now, try these for a week and see if things get even better for you. These steps are tried and true, proven processes as provided by The Art of Shaving. I figure if you can have a store dedicated to shaving and it’s lasted this long; they must be doing something right!

Step 1: Prepare

Apply pre-shave oil before shaving to provide a protective barrier and improve razor glide.   Always use hot water while shaving to soften the beard and open pores. For best results, shave after or during a hot shower.

Step 2: Lather Up!

Next, Apply shaving cream, formulated with Glycerin for a close and comfortable shave. Use a shaving brush to generate a rich, warm lather on your neck and face.

Step 3: Shave

Select a clean, sharp blade and rinse it under hot water. Using gentle pressure, shave with the grain of your beard. Notice the hair may grow in different directions. For a closer shave, re-lather and shave gently against the grain.

Step 4: Moisturize

After shaving, rinse with cold water and pat dry. Moisturize with after-shave balm, lotion, or gel to hydrate and soothe skin after shaving.

I know, I know, it looks like a lot of steps and it will take a long time but it really doesn’t. If you want to take care of yourself, impress the ladies, and set yourself apart from others, you will do what it takes.
